APPLY FOR DISTRICT FRINGE
About the 2026 District Fringe Festival
District Fringe will occur in July 2026
Performances will occur on weekday evenings and weekends.
All applications must be received by 11:59pm (EST) February 28, 2026 to be considered.
There is a $25 application fee.
Applications will be reviewed by our jury panel, and all applicants will be notified by email by March 16, 2026, whether they are selected to present at the 2026 District Fringe Festival.
If selected, applicants will be asked to pay a $400 registration fee to assist in festival operations.
If selected, applicants will be asked to bring proof of insurance covering their show. We will provide resources for places to purchase insurance.
Please only submit one project per producing agent/organization.
PLEASE NOTE:
Because we are a new festival, our technical capacity will be very bare bones. We will provide a performance space, audience seating, a basic stage manager’s booth, box office support, and basic lighting and sound equipment. Assume you have nothing and create something brilliant. If chosen, you will be responsible for bringing designers, cast, and team to program your tech needs.
There will be no on-site storage, so please plan accordingly.
For planning purposes, ideal shows will be between 40 and 90 minutes long. Shows will have a 10-minute load-in window and a 10-minute load-out window before and after each performance.
All shows will be required to offer at least one audience-masks-required performance.
All venues will have air filters and masks available.
